White Gravy Paneer |
White gravy paneer is quite different kind of recipe, children and old people like it very much, despite the use of less spices, it is so delicious and spicy in the taste. White gravy paneer is the specialty of Mugali food. We can serve it with lachha parantha or naan.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tsp Poppy seeds(khaskhas) (soaked in 1/2 cup milk)
- 10-12 Almonds(baadam) (soaked and peeled)
- 10-12 Cashew nuts (kaju)
- 1 large Onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (peeled & crushed)
- 1 Green chili (chopped)
- 2 tsp Butter
- 2 tsp Curd
- 2 tsp Fresh cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 200-gram Paneer (cottage cheese (cut into medium sized cubes)
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder (kali mirch powder)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Chat masala
- As per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp kasuri methi (for garnishing)
METHOD:
- Heat 1/2 cup of water, add garlic, onion, ginger, green chili and boil it for 2 minutes, when cooled, put almonds, poppy seeds and cashew nuts.
- Grind it, prepare a fine white paste.
- Heat 2 tsp butter in the pan, on low medium flame, add cumin seeds and saute it until it cracks.
- Put white paste, cook it for 5 minutes, keep stirring it continuously, when this mixture starts to leave the pan.
- Put salt, black pepper and mix it well.
- Add fresh cream and curd, cook it for a while.
- Add paneer cubes and 1/4 cup of milk, mix it gently.
- cooked it until a boil comes, switch off the flame.
- Put into serving bowl and sprinkle the chat masala.
- Garnishing it with crushed kasuri methi and enjoy it with lachha parantha,missi roti or naan.
TIPS:
- While cooking the white paste, stir it constantly so that its color does not change.
- Do not put small pieces of cheese, put medium sized cubes.
