The samak rice used in fasting, especially during Navratri, is very small in size and sticky. Samak rice is best alternative to rice. Rice eater or those who want to eat rice even during fasting can have samak rice kheer, pullav, khichdi. Here we are going to prepare samak rice kheer, which is very easy to make milk, sugar and dry fruits are put to this kheer, due to which energy remains in the body even during fasting Samak rice, The taste of kheer is very creamy. .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 Cup---Samak rice
  • 3 Cup---Milk (full cream)
  • 1/2 tsp--- Cardamom powder
  • 5---Almonds
  • 5---Cashews
  • 6---Raisins (kishmish)
  • 7 tsp---Sugar


METHOD:

  • Wash the samak rice with water and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  • Put 2 tsp desi ghee in a pan, fry almonds and cashew and take them out.
  • When the almonds and cashews cool down, chop them. 
  • On low medium flame, heat 4 cup of milk in heavy bottom pan. keep stirring it occasionally, cook it for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • When the milk is thick, put soaked rice in it.
  • Keep stirring it.
  • When the rice is cooked, put almonds, raisins in it.
  • Add sugar in it, mix it properly.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Put cardamom powder in it, cover it for 1 minute so that the aroma of cardamom comes in the kheer. after i minute, you can put it into serving bowl and garnish it with chopped almonds and raisins.

TIPS 

  • Samak rice kheer can also be made without soaking rice but it takes too much time.
  • Kheer made by soaking rice makes it very creamy.


EASY METHOD TO PREPARE SAMAK RICE KHEER


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 Cup---Samak rice
  • 1 Tsp---Desi ghee
  • 2 Cup---Milk (full cream)
  • 1/2 tsp--- Cardamom powder
  • 5---Almonds
  • 5 ---Cashews
  • 6---Raisins (kishmish)
  • 7 tsp---Sugar

METHOD:

  • Heat the milk on medium flame till it comes to a boil.
  • Put 2 tsp desi ghee in a pan, fry almonds and cashew and take them out.
  • When the almonds and cashews cool down , chop them. 
  • Wash the samak rice with water properly.
  • Put samak rice in the same pan and roast it for a minute.
  • Add 3/4 cup water in it, cook it for 5 minutes. 
  • When the rice is cooked, slowly add 2 cups of milk to it. 
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder in it, mix it properly.
  • Cook the kheer till it thickens
  • When the kheer is thick put almonds, cashews and raisins.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • , you can put it into serving bowl and garnish it with chopped almonds, cashew and raisins.


When there is no time to soak the rice, then in this way you can make instant samak rice kheer.
