SEVAIYAN PULLAV

Sevaiyan pullav is a ready to eat breakfast that can also be packed in children's lunch box ,vegetables can be added to desire and season. Children like to eat sevaiyan pullav.
Sevaiyan pullav is also very nutritious for children. My daughter like to eat Sevaiyan pullav made with lots of peas.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cup        Sevaiyan  (vermicelli)
  • 2 tsp         Desi ghee (butter)
  • 1/4 cup     Carrot (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup     Peas 
  • 1/4 cup    Capsicum (chopped)
  • 1              Onion (chopped)
  • 1             Green chili (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp     Cumin seeds ( jeera)
  • 3/4 tsp     Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp    Chat masala
  • 1 tsp      Lemon juice
  • According to taste   Salt

METHOD:

  • On the medium flame, heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan ,Put sevaiyan in it.
  • Roast the sevaiyan until golden colour.
  • When the sevaiyan turns golden ,Take them in a plate.
  • Put cumin seeds in same pan, add the onion when the cumin seeds crackling.
  • Put chopped capsicum, carrot ,peas, green chili.
  • Cover it and cook all the vegetables.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, put roasted sevaiyan in it.
  • Mix it properly.
  • Put salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder.
  • Cook it for some time, Put 3 cups of water in it.
  • Cook until the water from the sevaiyan dries up.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Serve by adding lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves to the sevaiyan.

TIPS:

  • Seasonal vegetables can be added in sevaiyan pullav.
  • We can roast the sevaiyan without ghee and store it whenever you want to make sevaiyan pullav,You can cook vegetables and prepare sevaiyan pullav quickly.
  • If you are preparing  sevaiyan pullav for children then do not use green chili and red chili in it.
