Rajgira paratha |
Nine days of Goddess Durga are worshipped on the nine days of Navratri. Eating non-veg, onion, garlic etc. is considered taboo for these nine days. Along with the worship of the goddess, some people also fast these days. On fasting days, especially in Navratri , some people take only falahar all day . There is also a diet rajgira that comes in the falahar. Rajgira atta can be made into roti, parantha and poorie which are very nutritious and tasty. Roti, parantha or poorie is made by putting boiled potatoes in rajgira atta. If you do not want to add boiled potatoes, you can also add grated carrot, lauki or radish. I like to eat rajgira parantha with lauki ki sabzi but mostly people like to eat it with aaloo ki sabzi or curd .
